Historical Sites
Jabal Thawr
The mountain containing the Cave of Thawr, where Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companion Abu Bakr as-Sideeq (May Allah be pleased with him) sought refuge for three days during the Hijrah to Madinah. This cave is a powerful reminder of trust in Allah and the sacrifice of the early Muslims.
Arafah
The vast sacred plain where pilgrims spend the day of Arafah making du'a until sunset before departing to Muzdalifah. It was here that our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ delivered his Farewell Sermon. Standing at Arafah is considered the very heart of Hajj.
Muzdalifah
The open plain between Arafah and Mina where Hajj pilgrims spend the night under the open sky after departing Arafah, gathering pebbles for the Stoning of the Jamaraat. It is a place of equality and simplicity — a sea of believers resting together beneath the stars.
Mina
Known as the City of Tents, Mina is where pilgrims reside during the days of Hajj after Arafah and Muzdalifah, the place where the pilgrims perform the Rami (stoning of the Jamarat), commemorating Prophet Ibrahim's عليه السلام rejection of Shaytan. The valley stretches between the mountains and holds immense historical and spiritual significance.
Jabal An-Noor
The Mountain of Light, home to the Cave of Hira at its summit, where the noble Angel Jibreel عليه السلام first descended with the revelation to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — the first words of Surah Al-Alaq. This mountain marks the very beginning of the message of Islam and is one of the most significant places in the Seerah.
