Makkah Companion is the service arm of Markaz Al Usool, an Islamic educational and dawah initiative. Our mission is to serve the guests of Allah by providing trusted, sincere, and professional support to pilgrims, visitors, and students of knowledge in the Holy City of Makkah.

meet your guide
As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu, I'm Abdur Razzaq (Lee Crulley). I was born and raised in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, and accepted Islam in 2016. Since then, Allah has blessed me with the opportunity to pursue Islamic knowledge, which led me to relocate to Makkah. I am currently completing a Diploma in Arabic Language at Umm al-Qurā University, after which I intend to continue my studies in the College of Sharīʿah. Through Makkah Companion, my aim is to serve the guests of Allah by providing reliable local assistance and helping make their journey to the Sacred City as smooth, comfortable, and spiritually beneficial as possible.
